Teriyaki Chicken Bowl at Mako Bowl
Our random meal of the day brings us a Teriyaki Chicken Bow. I actually had this not so random meal many times. It just a delicious no nonsense meal that I can quickly order to go.

Peppered Flat Iron Steak at Bannock
Our random meal of the day brings us an order of Peppered Flat Iron Steak. This Canadian steak really hit the spot. The restaurant features Canadian comfort foods and this was one comforting meal. I think the key was the duck fat potatoes. It really balances well with the steak.

St-Canut Pulled Pork Tourtiere at Bannock
Our random meal of the day brings us an order of St-Canut Pulled Pork Tourtiere. This random meal is a meat pie that actually originated in Canada or more specifically in the province of Quebec. The pulled pork tourtiere comes with a side of honeyed roots, greens, and a package of Heinz Ketchup. The interesting thing about the ketchup is that it is the Canadian version of Heinz ketchup and it has a sweeter taste than the US version. After you enjoy your random meal, you can visit Toronto's old city hall which is almost right across the street.

Wonton & BBQ Pork & Chicken with Egg Noodle in Soup at House of Gourmet
This was actually our first random meal after arriving in Toronto, Canada. We have an awesome order of Wonton & BBQ Pork & Chicken with Egg Noodle in Soup. It totally hit the spot.
We actually choose this restaurant prior to landing as we had an afternoon flight from Los Angeles and then you add the time zone change plus the allocated time to go though customs, we did not know exactly when we would actually get to eat. The amazing thing is that the restaurant actually closes at 4AM on the weekend. The hard thing about flying is that it actually limits the gear you can take along with you. I only brought along my Nikon D700 with one lens, the Nikon 50mm 1.4G plus my backup, Panasonic GF3 with a 14mm lens. The funny thing is after checking into the hotel and just dropping of all our bags, we hopped on a taxi and took off to eat. Well, I actually excited to be in Canada for our first meal and I left the DSLR bag in the room. Good thing for the backup camera :)

Eggs Benedict with Peameal Bacon at Maggie's Restaurant
We have for our random meal of the day an order of Eggs Benedict with Peameal Bacon. When in Canada, you just have to try real Canadian bacon. Fantastic! I do not think that I can ever look at American style Canadian bacon the same way ever again.
Found at Maggie's Restaurant in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
