Starling Diner SF Stuffed French Toast

Nestled in the middle of a residential area in Long Beach, we found this charming diner. After passing time waiting for a table, we were finally greeted with not the specials but what had already sold out! Today we have the "San Francisco Stuffed French Toast". This was voted "Best French Toast" by the OC Weekly and I understand why. This has to be the most delicious version of french toast that I have ever eaten.
This delicious concoction starts with freshly baked baguettes stuffed with a wonderful bend of mascarpone and creme fraiche. It is then dipped in creme anglais and broiled to perfection. Fresh seasonal berries perfectly complements this meal.
Found at Starling Diner in Long Beach, CA.

We also have the smoked wild salmon scramble.
