Our random meal of the day brings us the first Lobster Roll that I had in Boston. When you are a tourist, you eat at a tourist destination in the Quincy Market. The combo that I order also came with a small bowl of clam chowder. This hit the spot!

Our random meal of the day brings us Boston Magazine's 2014 best lobster roll. The funny thing is that it is actually a Lobster Sandwich. I ate the random meal way back in September 2014 on a trip to Boston. It was an adventure to get to this restaurant that is situated in the middle of a residential area. It was a bit of a walk but so well worth it. The toasted bread actually complemented the lobster and gave a nice crunch that is different from the typical softer roll. The lobster sandwich starts with a sesame-crusted scali bread that is buttered and toasted. A healthy portion of lobster meat covered with mayo and black pepper fills the bread. This sandwich actually beats the hype!

There are times when you are just in the mood for some classic comfort food. This is what this random meal of the day brings. We have the half Pollo Chicken Special. It is really funny that I actually ate this particular random meal so many times that when I come in, they know exactly what I want. It is actually contradictory to the premise of random meal of the day. But there are just those days when your mood for adventure is just not there and you want the familiar to give yourself a smile. I actually laughed today when I googled the restaurant and you have the opportunity to have a 360 degrees inside street view of the inside of the restaurant. All you need is a camera, and sometimes the magic just happens. Can you guess where I sat? Our random meal is a half chicken that is marinated and charbroiled. We have a side of fries and your choice of hot corn or flour tortillas. A side of salsa completes this random meal of the day.

We have for our random meal of the day a fantastic order of the Lobster Hash. We start with a Maine lobster tail and that is diced and seasoned. We then add some finely cubed Yukon Gold potatoes. Two perfectly poached eggs are then placed upon the lobster hash and a smoke paprika hollandaise sauce is layered over the eggs to complete this random meal of the day.

We have for our random meal of the day an order of the Bacon N' Egg Pizza. This pizza is off the specialty pizza menu as I feel that sometimes it is better to let someone choose the toppings for you rather than choosing to create your own random meal. The pizza starts with a fresh regular dough that is hand shaped. We then add the garlic butter sauce as the base for this pizza. Next a layer of mozzarella is layered over the garlic butter sauce. We then sprinkle on a generous lay of bacon! A layer of chopped green onion adds some color along with a handful of corn. A fresh egg is then placed in the middle and seasoned with a dash of sea salt and shake of pepper to round out the flavors. Finally an olive oil ring coats the outer crust to ensure that it gives you a satisfying golden crispy crunch. I passed on the final sprinkling of arugula for this random meal of the day.

We have for our random meal of the day an order of The Original Hawaiian Royale. The Hawaiian Royale is an open scrambled omelette over white rice. The original version comes mixed in with Portuguese sausage and char sui (a Chinese BBQ Pork). The magic with this random meal is when you add the side of the magical teriyaki sauce. This savory sweet blend, binds to the Royale and gives it a marvelous POP!

We have for our random meal of the day, the Hello Kitty Hungry Hunt Donuts. Yes, there was actually a scavenger food hunt all around Los Angeles for food and the Hello Kitty Pins. Today is actually the official last day of the Hungry Hunt. I have to admit that I have been to more than one event and it was pure MADNESS but fun all the same. These donuts are actually the longest wait of them all.

We have for our random meal of the day an order of the Hapa Burger. This restaurant is quite unique as the original location started unassumingly in shared space within a liquor store. It had considerable following on yelp. The funny thing about this is that even though the food that they served was fantastic, I just wonder how photogenic the random meal will be. It was one of the places that if I was out to photograph the random meal specifically, I would bring my own plate. Fast forward a couple of years later, they actually opened a full sit down restaurant. Finally I had the opportunity to dine at the restaurant.
The Hapa burger starts with a half pound burger patties. We then top it with onions, scallion, sesame leaf and a spring mix. We then top the burger with a fried egg and finish it with Gouchu-Q & Korean Aioli. The funny thing is that I actually still did not get a plate for this random meal.

Our random meal of the day brings us an order of the Smoked Fried Chicken. This is a unique take on chicken. The chicken starts off BBQ style by slow smoking the chicken to infuse the typical BBQ flavor. Then it is battered and then fried! This is one of those truly unique random meal flavor. We finish off this random meal with a side of tots and cornbread. This item was originally only served on Fridays but is it has actually become popular and is now a random meal that you can get everyday.

We have for our random meal of the day my random meal creation of a Build Your Own Pizza. We start with a 10 inch Italian white crust. Then we layer on some spicy marinara. We then load on the mozzarella cheese. Now the fun begins with a the random meal toppings. I started with classic pepperoni then added Canadian bacon. We then layered on some salami and sprinkle on some American bacon! Finally we layer on some fantastic thick cut Spicy Cappicola to end the meaty selection of toppings. We finished with some fresh chopped basil for our random meal of the day build your own pizza. Yum!

We start will a petite sized baguette and load a small soft shelled crab in the middle. We then layer the crab with a spiced tomato relish and then add a layer of leafy greens. A side of pickled garlic accompanies this random meal.

Our random meal of the day brings us some sushi! I am taking baby steps. We start with a Bento Lunch Box that you can fill with three different choices. I started safely with an order of shrimp and veggie tempura. Then I kicked it up a notch and choose an order of California rolls. Then I boldly choose a Crunch Roll. The crunch roll is consider a fusion sushi roll. It starts like a California roll and is filled with crab, avocado and cucumber. We then kick it up a notch by adding shrimp tempura in the roll and then layering an eel sauce before sprinkling the top with crunch. The crunch is made of bits of fried tempura batter. I wonder what the next step is after a crunch roll?
